Bath Half Marathon
Sunday 4 March 2018
Voted 'The Fastest Spring Half Marathon Course in the UK' by Athletics Weekly
The ‘Bath Half’ is one of the oldest and best half marathons in the UK. Boasting heritage and beauty, Bath offers an idyllic setting for a half marathon.
The course itself is fast and flat making it suitable for runners of all abilities - and is simply one of the must-do half marathons. One of the longest standing and most popular traffic-free city centre road races, the Bath Half has sold out every year since 2000.
By taking part in the Bath Half you will be raising vital funds to help Stratton House, our care home in Bath, transform their garden from an inaccessible and uninspiring place to a beautiful sensory garden, filled with bright scented plants and plenty of easy to access places for the residents to sit and enjoy the fresh air.
£100 will allow us to hire machinery to remove the moss from the lawn and plant grass seed to make the lawn accessible again
£150 will fund a raised vegetable planter, allowing residents to get involved and tend to their plants
£200 enables us to buy comfortable seating so our resident's can relax and enjoy the garden
£300 allows us to replant all the boarders close to the home with bright, scented and audible plants
£400 could add sensory and sculptural interest in the garden, such as a water feature
£500 - £700 can buy a wheelchair accessible greenhouse, enabling residents to grow plenty of fresh produce
